Privacy Policy
setpal+ is a workout tracking app. This policy explains what information the app uses and who can see it. The short version: your training data is stored on your device and synced through your own iCloud account by default (you can turn this off), there are no accounts, and there is no advertising or analytics.
Information you enter
You enter workouts (lifts, weights, reps, dates), body weight, and body measurements for the body fat calculator. The app stores this on your device and, by default, syncs it automatically to your own iCloud account. We do not receive it, and we cannot see it. If you delete the app, this data is removed with it unless it was synced to iCloud or you saved an exported file.
Information we collect
We do not collect your name, email address, location, contacts, photos, or health data. setpal+ does not use advertising identifiers, analytics, or third-party tracking, and it does not sell or share personal information.
Purchases
The app is free for a 7-day trial, after which a one-time purchase unlocks it. Apple processes the payment, and we never see your payment details. To confirm whether you have unlocked the app, we use RevenueCat, a purchase management service. RevenueCat receives your purchase receipt and an anonymous app user ID. It does not receive your workouts or measurements. RevenueCat's handling of that information is described in its own privacy policy at revenuecat.com/privacy.
Trial date
To track the 7-day trial, the app stores the date you first opened it in your device's Keychain. This record can remain on your device after you delete the app, so reinstalling does not restart the trial. It contains only a date.
iCloud sync, backups, importing, and sharing
By default, setpal+ syncs your data automatically through iCloud, so it is kept in your own iCloud account and is available if you reinstall the app or change devices. This sync is handled by Apple under Apple's terms and privacy policy. We do not receive this data and cannot access it. If you prefer, you can turn off iCloud sync and keep your data only on your device, then export it as a text file and import that file to restore it. An exported file is saved where you choose, and we never receive it. Synced data and exported files contain your workouts, body weight, and measurements, so treat them as you would any personal file.
When you paste a note into the app, the text is read on your device. If you share your data using the iOS share sheet, it goes only to the place you choose, such as Notes, Files, or a message. Once you send it there, that service's policies apply.
Body fat and health estimates
The body fat calculator uses the U.S. Navy formula and produces an estimate. It is not medical advice or a diagnosis. Talk to a qualified professional about your health and training.
Children
setpal+ is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Your choices
You control your data. You can edit or delete any entry in the app, turn iCloud sync on or off in the app, export or import a text file, or delete the app to remove its data. Exported files you saved yourself, and any data in your iCloud account, are not removed when you delete the app.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update the date above and post the new version on this page.
